Airplane Flying Packages and Adventure Information

Ah, the fascinating world of flight. For many years before the inception of the airplane, men have dreamed of flight. Many years after the invention of the airplane, flying still fascinates people from all ages. And who wouldn’t be? Soaring above the clouds and getting a magnificent view of the scenery below – clearly flying is the only way to go. Flying also allows many people to travel to many destinations in the shortest possible time. With a country such as the Philippines with many worthy destinations, airplane flying is bound to be more popular than ever.

Our flying tours allow you to see up close and personal (seated beside the pilot, no less!) the striking beauty that is Philippine nature. If you’re the type to take charge, we also offer formal flight lessons with professional pilots so that one day you too can pilot your own plane and explore wherever you want.

    Best Times to Go

Airplane flying can be done year round and is available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. However, for excellent weather during lessons and tours, the best time to schedule would be from October to May. We can still accommodate you during the rainy months of June to September, but be prepared to experience delays due to inclement weather.

    Get Started

Flight lessons are available for you to become a licensed private pilot. Once licensed, you have the option of getting more training to become a commercial pilot, or you could become an instructor yourself!

    Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you have a fixed schedule for flight training and ground schooling?

We offer flexible flight training and ground school schedules. We can schedule these around your free time. We also provide one-on-one instruction at no extra cost.

How long does private pilot training take?

The training program is based on the minimum number of flying hours required by the Air Transportation Office (ATO). Actual hours may exceed the minimum depending on student performance. Excess hours shall be charged according to the aircraft hourly rate. Training includes flight and ground training, application, and the processing of documents. Realistically, all these could be completed in about one to two months. However, during the rainy season, lessons may be postponed due to the weather.

Do you allow your students to fly solo?

Once you are checked out and released by the instructor, you can fly solo local and cross-country flights. We believe flying solo builds confidence and encourages learning. No baby-sitting safety pilot here!

    What is your safety record?

We take safety very seriously. We do not scrimp on maintenance and it is company policy to put safety first. Our planes undergo maintenance inspection every 25 flying-hours, in contrast to the factory-recommended 50-hour inspection interval. We are proud to say that in all our years of business, we have maintained a zero-accident record.

    Do you need a parachute?

No. Light planes such as the ones used in flight training have very good glide performance. For example, at 10,000 feet a Cessna 152 can glide for a good 15 miles. Rest assured, it won’t fall like a rock. And to prepare you for such events, simulated engine failures are included in your flight training.

    Are light planes safe?

Yes. In fact, the popular Cessna 172 has been considered the safest light single in the United States. For more information, check out http://www.aopa.org/asf/publications/cessna_skyhawk.pdf

What are the advantages of training with you?

    • We have our own private runway. There is no need to contend with the air traffic at Manila. You can be up and flying within 10 minutes. You can do touch and go’s to your heart’s content!
    • Central Luzon presents the best training area, boasting of a wide expanse of flat land with little obstructions.
    • Close proximity to Clark International Airport.
    • You have the well-established reputation of Omni Aviation, full transparency and best value for your money.

IS the Philippine license recognized in other countries?

The Philippine license is recognized in any International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) member country, including the US, Australia, Japan, etc. The conversion process varies from country to country. For more on the list of member-countries, visit http://www.icao.int/icao/en/members.htm.

What are the requirements for foreign students to fly in the Philippines?

    • Must be at least 16 yrs old
    • Can read, speak, and understand English.
    • Embassy clearance (from your embassy in Manila)
    • National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance. (Go to http://www.nbi.gov.ph/clearance.htm for more info.
